Description
The Certified Medication Technician course is an expanded role of the Certified Nurse Assistant. This course is a preparatory course to prepare the individual for employment as a certified medication technician in an intermediate care or skilled facility. This course teaches skills in administration of non-parenteral medications that will qualify students to perform this procedure to assist licensed practical nurses or registered professional nurses in medication therapy. (Prerequisites: CNA 101; CNA 102 or Active CNA Certification; must be CNA for 6 months and have letter from director of nursing)
