4/14/26: Upcoming Change to Duo Login on Crowder Computers

To better maintain a secure computing environment, Duo has updated the app used when logging in to Crowder computers.  This update changes how Duo verifies your login.

What’s Changing?

Previously, Duo sent a push notification asking you to approve the login with a simple Approve or Deny.

After this update:

  • The computer login screen will display a three‑digit verification code

  • You must open the Duo Mobile app on your phone

  • Enter the three‑digit code shown on the computer screen to complete your login

Important: Where to Find the Code

The verification code appears at the very bottom of the Duo login window on the computer screen and can be easy to miss if you are not looking for it (Note the 3-digit code inside the red box in the screenshot below.

When Will This Happen?

The new login behavior will take effect automatically after the Duo Desktop update is pushed, beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, April 15th.
