Information Services recently received reports that several organizations have recently experienced social engineering attacks following a similar pattern.  In each, users were on websites that instructed them to copy and paste a command onto their machine in order to proceed. 

Legitimate websites, application prompts, and sign-in verifications should never require you to copy and paste commands into Windows Ru, PowerShell, Command Prompt, or File Explorer.
